This year we are going to work on spelling through our vocabulary workshop. Students will be given their vocabulary/spelling packets each Friday. This way they will have a whole week to study their words as well as complete their weekly vocabulary assignment.
The first 20 weeks we will be using "Wordly Wise 3000”
There are 20 lessons of study along with lesson reviews which will be given at the end of every 4th lesson.

Just the Right Word
Applying Meaning
Reading Passage
There are 15 units of study and 5 review units along with a final mastery test.

Vocabulary
Reading Passage
Definitions and Exercises
Vocabulary in Context: Literary Text
Students will be expected to complete their assignment weekly. Grades will be given as follows:
Pre-test/Test = 25%
Participation = 20%
Homework = 25%
Final Test = 30%
